Odd, Strange & Peculiar

Thursday, August 23, 2012

Odd day today, I wasn't really myself, and I think it relates to the fact that I was thrown for a loop schedule-wise yesterday, and ended up getting food out twice. Didn't even realize it until today, but I didn't take ANY of my supplements yesterday. And I can tell with the minerals in body's not handling sodium as well as usual, though I've had less than some days recently. And my knees ached more than usual and I just couldn't get up a head of steam for the day.

Now that I've got a full day of decent meals under me, with sufficient protein and within my calorie range, and I took today's supplements, I'm feeling a little better.

But, it's strange, I rarely get cravings, but today, I was craving sweet things. That, in and of itself, is strange, as my most common craving is for salt. But, I managed to get through my day, eating "normal" foods, healthy foods. I had some steamed asparagus and broccoli with my stuffed pork loin chop for lunch, and creole-style chicken & sausage jambalaya, with a little taste of an onion-based shrimp stew for dinner. Tasty, but not reaching that craving. I had enough room to have a serving of these WhoNu? cookies that I really like, but the sweet craving is still there. I'm done for the day, but I'm in a really munchy mood, and nothing seems to fit the bill.

So, after dinner, I'm looking around the SP site and find a peculiar workout (or was it in an email?). A blend of strength & cardio training in a 17-min XTend Barre workout. Now, I've never been a ballet dancer, emoticon one look at my short stumpiness, and you'd know why. But, I'm very intrigued by this workout - it looks wickedly intense, and I'd have to take it slow to start, but I'm seriously thinking about it. It's a peculiar workout, but it's also peculiar that I'm considering doing it.

So, there's my day, odd, strange & peculiar. Now off to bed! emoticon
