Bad Night for Treats

Last night we sat down for a couple of games of cards after dinner. Jujubes and chips were brought out and instead of only having a few of each, I overdid it! I seem to have little resistance where treats are concerned! Since I had also had dessert I felt really stuffed by the time I went to bed. All I could do was refocus and hope that today would be a better nutrition day which it has been. It's amazing how the next day the slate is wiped clean and you get to try all over again, particularly if you don't beat yourself up over one slip.

    It is definitely tough to just have a few! Sometimes I just have to say No all together - once I have one I keep wanting more because I had the taste in my mouth haha. Have you tried having your own snacks with you? I used to feel silly bringing my own, but now other people have tried them & they like them too!

    Sounds like you have a the right attitude. Since joining SparkPeople I've developed a new attitude regarding slip-ups. That attitude is, "Well, that was fun, now back on track!" I know that for me, I have to allow myself a few times of "cheating" or I won't stick to my weight loss goals for the long run.
