Day 18. Bring Light to yourself and others

Monday, August 20, 2012

Wow....I am almost done with this cleanse. Part of this whole process is developing a spiritual awareness of ourselves, our food choices, and of others around us. I really like this idea. Embarking on a Vegan lifestyle was a spiritual decision years ago for me. Not only did I want this for me, but I wanted to be more compassionate in the world.

Now that I am back to SP, I realise that I have changed in my time away. I'm not sure exactly when this happened but I am not the same gal that was here before. Instead of beating myself up for missing the mark on something, I am comfortable knowing I did my best. I have been tracking my food and when I did this before, I would berate myself if I went over my calorie or fat limit. Last night I was marveling on that fact that not only was I not doing that, I was marveling at the progress I was making. "Wow....I was 400 calories off on Thursday, 200 calories off on Saturday and only 20 calories off on Sunday and my fat consumption had dropped too. I was only 5 fat calories off of my plan. Woo Hoo! Go Me!"

I am making healthy changes for life and attitude is a huge part of this.

ONLY 3 MORE DAYS TO FINISH YOUR CLEANSE. ARE YOU COMFORTABLE THAT YOU CAN CARRY ON IN THIS FRAME OF MIND? IF YOU ARE, THEN YOU WILL DEFINATELY REACH YOUR GOAL IN A RELAXED, SELF ASSURED WAY.

IS YOUR HUBBY JOINING YOU IN THIS STRUGGLE, OR DOES HE EAT OTHER FOODS?

I STILL HAVEN'T GOT BACK IN THE SWING OF THINGS. I KNOW IT'S A BAD WAY TO THINK, BUT DECIDED I WILL GET REALLY SERIOUS WHEN WE RETURN FROM OUR CRUISE...(SEPT6 TO 16TH)

HOWEVER, WE ARE ENJOYING OUR LONG WALKS SINCE I BOUGHT MY WALKING STICKS, SO HOPEFULLY I WON'T GAIN ANYWAY.

KEEP UP THE GREAT JOB.. WE'RE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU. emoticon
