Fair over yesterday for another year

The town fair is over now and now we have to wait for another year for it to come back. Saw a couple of old classmates that I don't get to talk to in a while. One lives in Springfield, IL and the other in the St. Louis area.
My left arm looked horrible yesterday. It was sunburned yesterday. The shoulder was really red. The rest of it wasn't too bad. My chest got burned a bit and the shoulder on the right arm got a little burned. But they didn't blister like it did 10 years ago last month when we were at the county fair in Minnesota. I had more areas burned then and it was a pain to take a shower no matter the temperature of the water. Part was my fault not having sunblock on and the other was the county fair board not having a place to hide where the bleachers were at from the sun. The only place that we could get out of the sun was with the horses, cows, and any other farm animals that were in a building. My oldest niece was 10 years old (now 20 years old) was in the horse show and they had a lot of rain the day before and they had a hard time drying out the ring. So everyone was standing in the sun.
We had a parade yesterday for the town's 175th Anniversary. Talk about a long parade. Took an hour and had a lot of entries. There was a Chevy half ton truck that's older than my dad by a year. The truck was from 1935 and really rusted. And I do mean rusted. All the truck is original. It came from Decatur, IL. I got a lot of pics of the parade.
The guy that owns the John Deere dealership has camels just north of town and one of the camels had a baby about 2 months ago and he had the camels in the parade. Including the baby. Now the guy with the camels has a zebra and baby that isn't a full blooded zebra. It's crossed with something.
I haven't gotten too far with my blue and white afghan. But somehow I found 3 skeins of white yarn in a box that our minister gave me a few months ago so I have added those 3 to what I have. I didn't think that I would have enough with what I had already.
My cat is a goofball. Found him in the same paper sack type gift bag twice today. Once this morning and the 2nd time just now. He doesn't usually get into a bag like that. He gets into other bags but never a gift bag. I carried him in the bag to show dad. Now Bob (the cat) is REALLY wound up.
