Trying to Start Running

While up at the cottage I try to walk for about 2 hours a day. In order to add some variety to my routine, I've started to add some running to my program. I've never been a runner probably because I've had extra weight to carry around. But today out of the 2 hours I managed to run for 60 minutes (not fast mind you!). The length of time I ran ranged from 5 to 17 minutes in between the walking. I'm starting to think about possibly walking / running a 5k, we'll see. I'm very pround of what I've been able to accomplish so far and I'm sure my weight loss has made it much easier to run.
