Hi everyone,

I am finding it vey hard to get my motivation back to eat healthy and lose weight. When i first started on this website back in April i was so excited and determined to loss weight. For the first month i was doing great. I even lost 10 pounds and i was so excited. I don't know what happened after that but things went down hill from there. Now i am at the point where i have gained back the ten pounds plus more. I am no longer exercising or drinking water or anything else that ishould be doing. I just get find the motivation and encouragement that i once had. Has anyone else ever felt that way? If you did what did you do to overcome it? everyday i tell myself i am going to go to the gym and when the time comes i just can't get myself there. Please help.

I have times like that. The one thing that helps me is I tell myself.. "okay Stormi.. you can at least walk for 10 minutes." Usually after that 10 minutes I feel so much better that I exercise even more. You are still sparking-- keep sparking :) We can all give something 10 minutes of our time. If you aren't in the mood to go to the gym.. tell yourself you are going to walk for 10 minutes or turn on some music and dance in your bedroom for 10 minutes. Most of the time you might find that the 10 minute starter is all you need to go a little further :)

Yes, I have felt this way and feel this way now. What I am doing is taking things one step at a time. Each day I am making a healthy eating plan and sticking to it as best as I can. I am getting a counselor who is helping me with some issues. Then, I will start exercising at home or join the gym and slowly but surely get back into the habit of things. Sometimes it's hard for me to remember that exercising feels better than eating. Take good care of yourself and try to take things one step at a time. Perhaps starting with water will help. emoticon

Maybe it other things in your life thats making you blah and it effects your goals. Take note your stressors then say no matter what I will at least do 5 mins of exercise. at least you would feel your not giving up but doing a temporary modification.

Drinking water is so important. Slowly and steadily increase your water drinking daily, and you will soon be back to the amount of water you were drinking before. don't get discouraged.

I think at some point we all have felt that way. I sure have recently. I am still trying to get back into my dieting and exercising. Now my hubby is working day shift and he is walking with me. I am exercising slowly and taking it one day at a time. It will help in the long run. I also started to jumpstart my diet by drinking dieters tea in the evening. And with it being hot still I am eating more fruits and veggies.
Hang in there and know that this website is for helping people stay on track and for motivation.

i get days like that sometimes. i tried different things to overcome it. perhaps you can just go for a walk around the block on days when you feel blah. i find that by the time i get outside, i usually go for more than a block. for the water, just try drinking 1-2 glasses a day and work your way up to the amount you were drinking before. hope these ideas help. you can do this1 you are worth it!
