Day 13. Plant Based Nutrition

Wednesday, August 15, 2012

I love this subject. If I weren't currently going for a second masters degree (this time in Nursing), I'd take the plant based nutrition course out of Cornell. Its my passion. I'm a Vegan for life. I feel so much lighter and the dietary illnesses from eating meat, dairy and eggs I don't want. This cleanse has helped me tweak my plant based diet into a healthier one and I have learned a couple of things. I really need to watch my consumption of nuts, and some soy yogurts are sugared. I plan to buy plain soy yogurt from now on and make my own flavors and fruited versions.

I am motivated by professional athletes who adopted a vegan diet. There's plenty of protein in plants with a side benefit of no cholesterol like you get with meat. Ok...off my soapbox. But if you're even curious about all the variety of foods in a plant based diet, please check it out or shoot me a few questions. emoticon
