A Year Later...

Monday, August 13, 2012

Well its been almost a year since I've been on Sparkpeople and alot has happen since then. Our move to NC went pretty smooth. My husband is now working for Guilford County as a Detention Officer and he's also receiving 60% disability from VA for several injuries he sustained throughout his 14yrs in the Army. I'm still homeschooling our three children but also have been working part-time as a Sales Associate for Victoria's Secret. We're also in the process of building a home. We start next month and weather permitting, should be in it by Christmas this year. Also my son is on the road to recovery from Pars Planitis. His pressure is still normal and the inflammation has decreased dramatically.

Even with everything going on, I've still been pretty active. I try to run when I can and try my best to eat healthy, which can be very challenging living in the country. I was able to run 2mi with my husband this morning. I also weighed/taped myself too. I lost almost 2lbs and 3% body fat since my last weigh-in and even though I've gained an inch around my waist and hips, my neck and thighs remain the same, I've lost a 1/2in in my arms and I've gained a 1/2in in my calves.

Well that's the latest. I will try to update again next Monday. I hope everyone has a great week. Remember to keep Sparkin'. God Bless!

I am impressed with your record. Happy for you that you are getting a new home. Sometimes it can be fun choosing everything, but, also nerve wracking when things don't go according to plan. Hope everything works well for you and please continue to stay healthy! emoticon
