Day 344...It's the climb

Heard this song on the radio this morning on my way to work. Got to thinking about the words..

Always gonna be an uphill battle
And sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
It ain't about how fast I get there,
Ain't about whats waiting on the other side.
It's the climb.

And I thought how true that is in regards to my weight loss journey. I only lost 1 pound. I lost the battle sometimes this last week. But I didn't let it completely derail me and I got up and tried again. Doesn't matter how fast I lose this weight as long as I keep losing. What will life be like after I do? I don't know but doesn't matter. It's my journey...its the climb.

    I think maintaining weight takes just as much diligence as losing it does. That's why I choose to focus on creating healthy habits so it's not so much about the number on the scale, but just being active and eating a healthy, whole foods diet. That's what we ALL need to focus on, whether we are overweight or not. It's not all about the number on the scale!
