Underemployed does not equal weight loss

Friday, August 10, 2012

After having my job eliminated in late June, trying to keep focused on anything has been a challenge. On the positive side, I get to spend more time with my family. The negative side is obvious and there's no need to get into that here. I keep telling myself that a door closed on one opportunity leaving the chance for something better in the future. It's hard waiting for the future when you live in a challenging present.

Needless to say, finding the strength to lose weight has been problematic. I'm looking forward to being in a place where I can tackle that challenge with vigor.

Until then...

I know what you mean. When I was in college, trying to balance finances and classes and projects and my social life, I never had enough money to eat right and I was always way too physically and emotionally exhausted to dedicate myself to weight loss. But when you are ready, you totally will do it!!! Remember to give yourself credit for all of the awesome things you are managing in your life right now!
