August 2012 - Goin for the Gold

July helped me get back on track. Now it's time to really rock. I am so inspired by the Olympic athletes. They push every day to reach their goals. I especially have enjoyed watching the moms. They aren't afraid to allow their goals and needs to be first for a while. I see how good it is for their kids to see the dedication. I want to be that kind of example to my kids.

My goals for August, (and so far I have met them every day):

1. I will exercise consistently 6 days a week. I will do both cardio and ST and take Sunday off. My exercise routines may include Zumba, dancing, walking, Thai Chi, Pilates. I will do push-ups, planks, squats and then add other ST as the day feels.

2. I will get at least 25 grams of fiber each day. I will shoot for more, but insist on 25.

3. I will spend at least 10 minutes in meditation/me time daily. This will be a time to pray, read motivational stories, journal and gain the inner strength I need to get through my day and meet my goals.

I will reward myself at the end of the month. If I meet my goals every day, I get gold. If I meet my goals 75%, I get silver. If I meet my goals 50%, I get bronze. I have 3 jars with possible rewards on pieces of paper inside them. I will get to choose from the appropriate medal jar at the end of the month. I'm going for the gold! emoticon
