Catching up and settling down

Thursday, August 09, 2012

My daughter decided back in october that she wanted to live with her dad. Now she is moving back in with me. My house is a fixer upper and had been working on it slooowly. But now I have been getting my room painted so I could move into it so she could move into the bigger room. It still needs some work, but big enough to work in with her stuff.
I haven't been exercising yet since I've had to rush more to get the house more ready especially since she will be starting highschool this year. And I started my new job/second job at IHOP, I love it so far but not making much money since we just opened (was taken by tornado May 2011) so every one is newish. And they schedule more people because we're new. But some of us are just ready, because we have served before. So that will get better as it thins out and I get more tables.
And with the training and testing of the food I haven't exactly been eating properly, but I haven't gained which is good.
So thats my catch up status, and now things will hopefully start settling down soon.

Glad to hear Ihop is reopening. You are going through huge life changes right now. Do what you can, forgive yourself when you can't do it all - none of us could : )

Hey, I figure that anytime you can maintain the progress you've made when you're up to your eyeballs with changes and stress, you're actually AHEAD of the game!

I don't know which is more stressful (in a nice way) -- rushing around to pack up your child's belongings so they can move out, our making room and changing priorities so they can move in. I've had to do BOTH in the past two years, as well as welcoming my elderly mother-in-law.

Life does get interesting, doesn't it? Keep up the good work!
