Tired and Toning

Trying to keep going. I have been really tired today. Did strength training and walked for 2.3 miles. I am still on my 3 pound plateau. I figured I would try to tone some up while in this plateau. I need to tone bad. I have been working so much on cardio with the cycling that I have lots of flabby areas that are not filled with the 100 lbs of fat anymore. It is hard and I am hurting bad but I keep trying.

I got both my DS's to go walking with me tonight. My youngest DS helped me with some of my strength training earlier today. He is my athlete and on the cross country team at school, so he is real good at pushing Mom. My oldest has hit that college sedentary stage and I am trying to get him out of it before he ends up like me. I have changed the diet of the entire family and I have actually gotten him to move this week.

    Remember that the more you burn through diet and cardio, the more you need to strength train to offset the loss of lean muscle mass. When you burn fat, you're also burning muscle! Strength training is an important part of your program. :) It won't reduce those parts of the body you don't like, but it WILL improve the appearance of the fat you do have, boost your metabolism, preserve lean muscle mass, and help you look and FEEL better!
