Not a bad day today and Did something drastic two Fridays ago

It wasn't a bad day today. It started out with me weighing and putting on .9 lbs. I am still a plateau of a 3 pound range. Tried to get DH to work out with me tonight since he was home but it did not work. He wants to lose weight but with his long days he is so tired that it is hard to motivate him. I am still working on it. The same thing with my oldest DH. He is more of a home-body, like I used to be. I am trying to get him to work out with me some as well. He has been doing pretty good with it. At least he is moving and that is what will count in the long run.
Two Fridays ago on my normal weekly shopping trip, I did not buy any bread, ice cream or other "munchies". These are what get my DH and DS's in trouble with their healthy eating. I found some recipes on SparkRecipes for homemade ice cream and I am using that and making smoothies with skim milk for dessert. We also have plenty of fruit and air popped popcorn for snacks. I have not been cooking any main dish for dinner that is over 300 calories per serving, and, of course, there are an adequate amount of veggies with the main course. I am only putting the appropriate amount for four servings on the table rather than having extra all the time. I have hardly had leftovers at all the last two weeks. I cut out the bread to help decrease calories as well. I bought some low fat tortillas and have the boys use one of them to make their sandwiches and it is half the calories of using bread.
Last weekend, both of my DS's weighed and each had lost almost 5 pounds. Yes, the youngest is very skinny because he is an athlete but I know he is putting on more muscle. I told them that 5 pound was probably just from having no ice cream
Some people I have told about me doing this say I am crazy. I say that I am helping them help themselves. If they get in the habit of overeating then they will end up like DH and I....very overweight. I do not want my boys to go through what I have had to go through over the years with my weight battles. Before I started losing and keeping it off in 2010, I was getting the health problems that come with being overweight. I do not want them to end up there. I look at it as part of my job as a wife and mother to ensure my family knows how to live healthy so they can maintain it when they are out on their own.
