Weekend Noms

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

Sunday and Monday - the Civic Holiday - were so packed and busy I barely had enough time to do my regular tracking (and take photos), let alone update this blog.

Sunday I was in Toronto all day - it was game day (Mage the Awakening); I had a great time but because it was a holiday on Monday, we stayed for afters and I didn't get home until after 2 am. Again.

Monday I hiked 6.5 km with my parents. We took a while because my dad came too, and he is not used to walking so far. We ended up resting about halfway through for about 10-15 minutes. Still, it was a gorgeous morning and a gorgeous walk along the Grand River. And dad did great. Later on in the day my friend came over, we had salsa chicken wraps and watched Dr. Who (Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker episodes). By the time he was gone it was midnight. And I had to work today.

Any way, here are the links for yesterday and Sunday:

Its hard to get my dad out for a walk, but it was such a beautiful day that my mom was able to convince him. Keeping the pace slower meant that he was able to go the distance, and hopefully we can keep on convincing him to come for walks.

What I liked best is a pace that included your father. The lasting memories of this walk will far more improve your inner motivation than pushing past the break in the middle.

    Walk on!
