Can you tell that I am excited for our family vacation?!?!
I have decided that my challenge for myself in August is going to be to really focus on my treadmill walk/run intervals. My ST is going great and I can't believe how strong I feel! I really think that burning some more calories on the treadmill might help me tone up a little more. I got a two piece swimsuit for my vacation. It is a tankini, so not the full on bikini, but still SCARY for me!! I really don't care to share my muffin top with the entire beach!!
The past two days I have gone completely out of my comfort zone on the treadmill for me. I walk for 3 minutes at 3.8 then run for 2 minutes at 5.5 for the first 30 minutes. I have decided for August, I am going to add on to that. Yesterday and today, I added on after that initial time, I continue to do the walk for 3 minutes at 3.8 but then I run my 2 minutes at 6. I do this up until 55 minutes. I really want to get that last one in to make it to 60...I will in time. I am listening to my body and by the time I get to 55 minutes, it is done with the running and I do a VERY LONG cool down. It comes up to be 4.5 miles by the time I am done. Today, I can honestly say that I completely dreaded getting on the treadmill. But I kept reminding myself how AWESOME I felt the rest of the day yesterday after finishing and I did get up there and just do it. I do feel great now. I am so glad I did it. So in the past two days, I have done 9 miles. I am feeling pretty proud of myself. Rewarded myself with my eggs. I crave eggs when I am done with a good sweaty workout. Weird?! I have eggs, almonds, and grapes. Yummy!! And I feel like it gives my body the protein to bounce back and make it through the rest of my day.
