End of Hiatus

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

It has been awhile since my last post. Life has taken its toll once again, Mom and wife duties, going to school and everything else. About a month ago, our niece finally got to go home to her parents. It was a hard 9 ½ months but we got through it. We miss her but she is with her mom and dad, which is as it should be. God willing the parents will keep their act together so all of the issues will stay resolved and the baby can remain in the home.

I have hit a plateau over the last month and I just cannot past the 136-138 range. At least I am not putting on. I have started working out harder now that I have some free time every day. My DH and DS’s and I are riding a cancer ride in October in San Marcos. It is 25 miles so I have some working out to do. I have not been on the road in a month now due to the only time I have had to ride is the heat of the day. It gets tooo hot in South Central Texas to ride during the heat of the day. I have put my bike on a trainer and riding that every other day and I have been doing a lot of circuit and strength training. I am hoping this will help me to strengthen up for my rides when I can start riding again in a couple of weeks.

It is just keep on working because I am never going back to where I was. I did put on the 25 once we got the baby but I forgot to decrease my calories when I didn’t have time to work out. That was a mistake and I have learned from it. My body cannot afford to make that mistake again. I have worked hard to get there and I am never going back.

Sounds like you have some determination. I'm from La Vernia and was wondering what ride you're doing in October. Perhaps I'll do it as well.
