Yesterday didn't exactly go as planned,,,,,

Monday, August 06, 2012

We did get to the family camp and headed out in our tandem plus kayak (all three of us can be in one kayak). After about 20 minutes Michael started complaining of a stomach ache (sometimes he does this to "manipulate" a situation i.e. doesn't want to do it). We came in off the lake and gave it some time, he definitely was not his normal self, so we decided to head home.

He got sick (Murphy's law, nothing says new car like your child throwing up in it), he appeared weak (holding on to furniture to walk around) and was walking hunched over, so off to the emergency room we went thinking we were going to deal with more gut issues or apendicitious (sp) (Michael got NEC shortly after being born, his intestine perforated and he had ileostomies for a period of time). 5 hours later we finally came home with X-rays in hand and supposedly he just has a severe case of constipation. Odd as he just had a bowel movement the day before, OK we'll watch him, give him something for the constipation and see how it goes. Low and behold this morning he still can't keep anything down not even water.

So LILmommy will be keeping a watchful eye today.

Not too pleasant for Micheal or mommy.

I know he can't keep anything down, but make sure he doesn''t get dehydrated. I went through that with my son, I almost lost him at 19 months and the doctors couldn't figure it out, but thank god they had him on IV which rehydrated him and then he was fine.

Oh, Tracy!! emoticon What a worry you're going through, my friend!! I hope it's not anything serious, and yet I know it isn't anything to *sniff* about either. Dear little boy with his tummy giving him more grief than most!! I will keep Michael in my thoughts and prayers. Sooo sorry about your brand new sparkly car, sweetie. What a mess!! Hope all will settle down and you can go back up to camp before the summer's end.

Aw poor guy! It is actually possible to still go even when you're really constipated so I'm not surprised. Hope he feels better soon!

Sometimes it is hard to stay on track but remember...............It's not how many time you fall, but how many times you get up and keep moving forward that is important.
    You can do it.
