What a busy day this has been! I had such good intentions of just spending time this afternoon scrapping photos, but I never made it there. Not even close! Tonight I am so tired that I'm really having to watch myself so I don't get snippy.
Day began at 7:30 with the lawn mowing which takes 90 minutes. I wasn't hungry so I drank water and headed to the grocery store. That took another hour. By the end of that I was getting hungry so decided to swing by Subway and grab something. I typically get a turkey sandwich, but here's what I brought home.
After putting away all the groceries I worked on the laundry and got the italian bread going for dinner. Here's what I created for dinner in the afternoon.... lasagna!
I thought I was getting close to scrapping but then the hubby told me "I'm going to cut the blue spruce down." So... we helped haul branches while he cut.
Here's the before photo of the tree.
And here's what it looks like tonight.
Wanted to see if the branches would burn before cutting it completely down. They didn't so we'll be finishing the job soon and hauling it off.
What started this project? The tree developed NeedleCast and enough of the tree was infected and it was so tall we knew we'd never be able to spray all the applications on ourselves well enough to try and save it.
We also found a bird and nest when the branches came down. Maegann naturally wanted to keep it. I told her "no!"
Wasn't long before it flew off to probably meet up with the other bird that have flown off immediately.
And while I was taking pictures here's an update on Maegann's sunflowers.
Next I finally took time to discuss Isaac's birthday wish list with him. Here's the first page. Yep. He's got two more! LOL
Maegann wanted a picture of her hamster Rascal to send to a penpal and it turned out cute so thought I'd share.
What else is left for tonight? Lawrence Welk and/or Andy Griffith and then some sleep!
