Changing goals

Thursday, August 02, 2012

The last few days have been tough. My Susy Home Maker husband has been baking his heart out (literally). Yesterday I challenged him " Do you know how hard it is for me to smell that Stuff?" He responded he was making the stuff for the kids. He did send it home with them but still...
Then I got huffy with him and asked if he was still losing weight and when was the last time he took his blood pressure. And to top it off I told him I was going to " rat him out to our Dr!"
Well back to me. I started looking at what I could do to increase my potential to reach a healthy weight in spite of what others do.
1. I joined the 12-12-12 challenge on Spark people. This will help me to stay accountable.
2. I continue to exercise and switch up my routine.
3. I am saying Good by to excuses!

My long term Goal:
I will be healthy and strong with my Diabetes under control and my BMI will be in a healthy range.

My time line comes from the 12-12-12 challenge.

I will lose 30 pounds by 12-12-12. This amounts to about a pound a week.
Making this commitment scares me immensely!
What if I fail? What if I am a hopeless case?
So my mantra is " Shoot for the moon! Even if you don't make it you will land amongst the stars.!"
I especially liked the motivation Quote on Spark people:
Losing weight is hard.
Staying over weight is hard.
Choose Your hard!
Thank you everyone for your generous support and encouragement! emoticon
