Day 2 of intermittent fasting.

"IF" is going really easily so far. I just had my first meal of the day at 1pm. I actually wasn't hungry at all leading into my eating time, stomach wasn't growling, didn't feel hungry, but I ate anyways.

My first meal was a nice 650 calorie meal; 2 servings of special k red berries cereal and a splash of light vanilla soy milk (I like my cereal damp, not swimming), a cup of vanilla greek yogurt and 2 bananas. When I put everything in the tracker, the number of calories shocked me, but then I remembered how calorie dense bananas are. Might stay away from bananas inside of meals and stick with them just being snacks... even though I don't really have time for snacks, I have time for 2-3 meals within 5 hours.

For lunch in an hour or so, I'm going to have a spicy black bean veggie burger on white bread (we don't have any wheat D:) with some ketchup and additional Texas Pete and black pepper because I like extra hotness.

For dinner, I might just have a can of creamed corn, nothing special.

    Intermittent fasting is where you fast 16-19 hours a day and you have a 5-8 hour window where you eat your NORMAL meals.

    I would type a lengthy rant about popular nutritional beliefs and how I think most are bull****, but maybe I'll save that for tomorrow's blog.

    What program is intermittent fasting? If you are fasting part of the day and then eating high calorie foods, your bodies metabolism may get messed up. Try for 6 small meals a day at 2-3 hour intervals. Sounds like you should add more veggies too. Corn is mostly carbs and sugar, not really a good choice in my opinion. Make sure you get your protein in too. Just egg whites are high in protein and low in calories. Just sayin' emoticon
