WOW Tough 25!

I FINALLY hit my 3rd target goal of 75 pounds lost. *happy dance*! I've been doing it in increments of 25 pounds each as 'mini goals'. That makes it less intimidating to me than saying I need to lose X amount of pounds. The big picture is a little depressing, so 25 pounds is a lot less frustrating. Well, usually. Boy this last 25 pound section was a bear. Especially the last few weeks. I've been battling the same 3 pounds over and over and over. It was more or less a sort of plateau. Not one where you never lose an ounce, but where it kept bouncing around even though I didn't 'blow' my 'diet' in any way. That can be frustrating, but I guess it's just important to know that the physical changes you see on the outside are only a small part of what's going on when you have a lot of weight to lose. I think it's much different for people who have less than 25 or maybe even 50 pounds total to lose, but when you have massive amounts of weight to lose, there are horrendous changes INSIDE your body that you can't see going on, and the body needs time to adjust. I just hope it doesn't take four months to lose the next 25, lol. Or worse, that it keeps taking longer for each 25 pound milestone. Bottom line though, I guess, no matter how long it takes, as long as it's going DOWN, that's what's important.
