10k not going my way :o(

So I started training at the end of June to do the SparkPeople Virtual Race Aug 4 10k. I have run a 5k before, so I thought I would challenge myself and do a 10k. Maybe I bit off more than I could chew with the time I have available to train, I don't know, but I was gonna try.

The first two weeks of training before we went on vacation went well. I even got my training in while on vacation. It was a change. I am used to running in MN with mostly flat routes and air. Running in CO was a little more challenging with hills every time you turn around and no air :o) But I did good.

Then when we got home, thing were so crazy from trying to get the house back in order and catch up at work, I was not able to fit any training in during week 4. I was so excited too to try running after coming back from running in CO.

And then, on Sunday I fell down the last four steps to the basement. Messed up my left shoulder and elbow, both knees, and my back. Training this final week isn't going either.

I am not sure I am going to be able to run the 10k on Sat at all. My right knee is really bothering me and now it is supposed to rain Friday night into Sat morning.
