Lots to say

Wednesday, August 01, 2012

Hi everyone!

I finally finished graduate school, and I'm doing part-time work to try and make ends meet. My love has moved here from the east coast, and we're doing great! He actually talked me into logging onto SP today, and here I am posting a blog. We went to the gym tonight - my first time in probably a year - and it went pretty well! I'm not sure what I expected, but I'm in better shape than I thought.

What's not good is that my body is really stiff. By product of getting older, I suppose. I have an appointment with a physical therapist on Monday to try and get a routine of stretching and exercising going that will help me with my very very stiff knees. I have ridiculously limited mobility and flexibility in my knees. Honestly, I think they are mostly wrecked. But I would like to not have surgery, if possible.

Other than that, I'm back on the wagon, eating-wise, and trying to get my routines set. There is lots more to say, but I think that's enough for now. How are you all doing??!

Way to go on finishing grad school! I'm in the midst of my seconds masters at the moment, and although it is an online program, I know how much focus, energy, and time it takes. An accomplishment indeed!

Glad to see you back on the bandwagon. I've been off for a couple of months, but am finally getting my groove back. Hope you're enjoying the great weather - good luck on the mobility and flexibility. It is frustrating to want to do more, but your body says "nope". Hope you can get it convinced otherwise!

Congrats on getting your master's degree - that's quite an accomplishment. And I'm so proud of you for getting back on the wagon and especially for going to the gym! Hope the PT helps and you get to feeling better so the exercise won't hurt anymore. Keep up the good work!

Great to see you and hear how you're doing!
Sounds like you're doing well and moving along. Good for you! I've been in a bit of a struggle myself lately, but hoping to turn that corner and get back to moving forward again.

    Congrats on finishing grad school!
