It Is A Job- Not A Place Of Torture!

Tuesday, July 31, 2012

This is my first blog. I am determined to focus on my health and make sure stress does get in the way of goals. I write this blog because I am not going to keep this inside and watch my blood pressure go up.

Yes, I am glad I have a job.
Yes, I know how hard it is to get a job today.
Yes, our mission is to help others.
Yes, I understand that those who are unhappy sometimes take it out on others.
Yes, I enjoy working with people.

You , customer of our agency, have got help from us. We gave you food to eat when you need it. You know how we have helped you and others in the community. Now you go to any public meeting and political/government officials who will listen to you. You tell them that we do not do anything to help the community. You know you are telling lies! We provide many services; food pantry, clothing closet, reading program/ books/magazines, holiday gifts, hot feeding program, pre-school program, after-school program, workshops, social services, and much more.

No, we do not build houses.
No, we are not planning to build a house for you to move into.
No, we are not planning to rehab your house nor clean up the litter in your yard.

The truth is that you need to clean up your own house and the litter in your yard. We are helpers not rugs to be walked all over.
We want to help people. We do not want to make people depend on us.
Even if it makes you mad, we do not plan to build houses. Others build /rehab house. We do not do everything.

If all the lies were not enough, you have even shown how rude you are by telling others that I was am to disable to do enough for the community. Yes, I use a cane. With my cane I get out everyday and do much more than you do with your two good legs. Your nasty words do not change anything; you need to take the first step and clean up your house/yard.

I am not letting the bully win! Our volunteers are not letting the bully win. Yes- I know you have complained about the volunteers also. You do not like that they live on certain streets. Wake up Ms. Bully. You are shameful and need to focus on yourself. You must be a very miserable person. Get some help; we gave you a community resource list.
This is my job and I do not plan to be tortured.

Congratulations on your first blog. You control your health. As Richard Feynman said, "What do you care what people think?"

You have done more than said a mouthful. There seems to be more and more people who expect more and more to be done for them. You have a right to be upset because of the rude behavior of some people. It only takes a rotten apple to spoil the whole barrel and it sounds as though you have met with more than one bad apple.
God bless you and give you strength to deal with the public the way you do.

Good idea to get it out here---and you are right---that person just wants everyone to give to them and not do anything for themselves---the one thing to remember with a person like that is that they really do not like themselves and thus hate everyone else who is comfortable with themselves---they are jealous. Hard to take sometimes but here you have an outlet---Good first blog!

Hang in there, you know what you are doing is important and of value to the community. There will always be somebody that will try to destroy good things and people, I hope that your government and community will quickly realize that this person(s) is blowing smoke. Keep on blogging, we are here for you.

Hang in there! No matter how hard we work there are some people who will not be satisified. But you are right - we don't need to allow them to belittle us. You are a valuable member of you community who contributes a lot and you deserve to be recognized for what you do. emoticon
