I can't believe it has been three months since I joined SparkPeople!?
Recap: In 2007 set a goal to lose 60 lbs (195 - 135). I reached my goal Thanksgiving Day 2011. By the beginning of 2012 I had actually lost a couple more lbs and was down to 133. Then, well, life happened and went bonkers on me. I lost focus, gained 15 lbs, and became bored with My Fitness Pal. Then on 4/23/12 I found SparkPeople!!!! I weighted 148 lbs.
No I didn't start losing right away, actually I gained the first couple of weeks. My highest weight for 2012 was 151 (18 lbs gained).
What I have gained in three months:
*A new view of exercise, I don't have to get 30 mins in or nothing at all. If I can get in at least 10 min, my day was a success. And started enjoying it again.
*Got back into my healthy food habits (eating 5 - 10 servings of fruits and veggies everyday, eating less processed foods, and preparing my breakfast, snack, and lunches for the work week)
*Got back to drinking between 12 to 15 glasses of water a day.
*7,054 My SparkPoints and Level 9
*4,844 Fitness Minutes
*Great new support system
I didn't really start losing weight until I joined the 2012 Summer 5% Challenge Community in June. This Challenge has helped me really focus on the weightloss again. Getting back down to my goal. I have gained control over my triggers and am doing with controlling my emotional/stress eating. This is what was keeping me from losing the first couple of months on SparkPeople.
I even lost weight on vacation!!! On 7/13 we went on a road trip from MN to CO with two toddlers. Not something I recommend (hehehe). On our vacation, I got up early every morning to walk or run, watched my portion sizes, and made healthier choices. And the best part, I was thinner than all my friends from high school!!!
What I have lost:
*7 lbs from my starting weight (11 lbs from my new goal 130)
*10 lbs from my heaviest weight
