What's better than losing weight.....

We all know that the first several weeks of most any weight loss program you lose a fair amount of weight. It was no different for me in returning to spark. Since 7/15/2012 I have lost 6.6 pounds. I'm eating nutritious foods and I'm staying active (I do truly prefer activity over exercise. Give me a walk outdoors over the treadmill, give me mileage on a bike over a stationary bike...you get the idea).
But what's better than losing weight which reflects only a number on the scale.....no longer being obese! Hard cold fact, people 80 or more pounds overweight lose 3-12 years off their life expectancy.
Today I am proud of myself for the progress I'm making toward a healthy lifestyle which is one part nutritional, one part physical and one part emotional and I am very proud that I have regained those 3-12 years which is progress on all fronts!
