A self exercise in futility vs positivity

Changing my attitude about weight loss isn't easy. Although I try to focus on healthy, a balanced nutrition plan filled with healthy choices and exercise, I still tend to focus on the number on the scale. So today I am practicing an exercise in positivity.
Week One 4 pounds lost.
Week two .40 pounds - my goal is a pound a week.
Instead of being disappointed I chose to look at my combined two week weight loss. I am two pounds ahead of schedule. I have lost a combined total of 4 inches from my measurements and I am feeling so much better, I've even managed to walk 1-2 miles at a rate of 2.5 - 2.7 mph. No small feat for having a bad back.
So today I chose to be positive, today I chose to own my accomplishments, today I chose to own my addiction to the number on the scale and to work past that and see the positive steps in my journey.
