You are so real. You made me realize that we all have similar issues with how we feel about our bodies and the struggles we all have to just get this freaken fat to melt off us already! Wow, it is such a struggle! I feel for what you're going through. Keep the faith & stay on course and you will receive your success. We will all be cheering for you! Love your honesty & your willingness to share some of the deepest parts of you with all of us. Keep going strong. 2604 days ago
I would love to be able to wear a vest... and not look like a puff fish... that's why I put it in my collage. :-)
It's nice getting to listen to people's voices of people we converse with online from time to time, so I enjoyed the video, I may have to make one myself if my grandparents leave for there anniversary in 2 weeks! I feel speaking does much more wonders than typing, because you can erase typing.
I may have to use that phone alarm idea for my quiet times or just as a simple reminder to stay focused on the mission. 2604 days ago
You are rocking it, Girl! I'm glad I made it to the end; seeing you get weepy made me feel like we have more in common. :) Many of us are dealing with inadequacy issues. You're at an advantage because you've recognised it and addressed it at an earlier age than I did. I was also really impressed with your tone of resolve; you ARE going to meet your goals! 2607 days ago
Your middle school and high school years sound just like mine (band geek and all). I understand the desire to want nicer clothes. At this point, I would be happy to be able to fit into 100% cotton jeans that don't have an elastic waist!
To attain these goals all comes down to the choices we make; whether those choices bring us closer or further from our goals is up to us. You sound like you are making some great choices to help you keep on track, even through the challenge you have been having these past few days.
I hope your head feels better and that your inspiration clothes and goals encourage you to keep working. You can do it :) 2607 days ago
Awesome collage. I have been big my entire life as well... It's definitely a challenge, but the more we challenge ourselves with visualizing our success, the more attainable it becomes. Soon you will be wearing those clothes you love :) And you deserve them!!! 2608 days ago
I think fashion is one of my things I am looking forward to the most when this weight comes off. I loved (we called them hooker) hoochie boots. Keep your head up, some weeks are not going to be awesome but the important thing is not giving up. We don't always control the way our bodies want to behave, but you can control your attitude and even doing things like setting alarms on you phone are ways that you are making progress.
Awww...this video and blog really resonates with me on so many levels...I think we've all been there before of not feeling good enough because we are constantly comparing ourselves to each other....even in these challenges still. The important thing to remember is we're successful not because we lost only.5 lbs or 100lbs but that we're fighting everyday for healthiness, we're working on changing eating habits, challenging mental issues, working through our emotions and getting stronger physically and mentally. When we make those kinds of changes little by little, transformation is inevitable! I love your fashion choices--the capes/capelets are gorgeous, the style and colors--OMG! I see you have shoe fetish and soon you'll be able to enjoy buying and wearing them again --I completely know how you feel about walking in those high ones, they just feel unsafe and I always wonder how other plus-size women do it on a daily basis aside from the pain. I totally agree about being limited to the plus-size section as well in the available selections...just don't want to do it anymore....but you'll get to those other sections! Congrats on the weight loss this week!!! 2608 days ago
