Its a cold and windy Sunday in West Auckland, New Zealand ... I spent the morning sleeping in and snuggled in my bed reading through different Spark articles and resources, and it dawned upon me that I could actually be a runner if I wanted to ... this had never occurred to me before - that I might actually WANT to be runner.
I took a test to see how 'run' ready I was, and apparently I am very run ready! So I have decided that effective from Monday week, I am going to start implementing my run plan. That gives me a week to get in the right head space, plus I have lots of travelling on next week.
Today is my 'rest' day, but after being a snuggle bum all morning, I decided to put on my gear and get out into the crazy weather for a 50 minute walk. It was INVIGORATING ... I was reminded of when I was a girl and the cold rain would refresh my face as I walked home from school. I was so happy to be alive, and I am so lucky to be able to have this chance to get my health sorted.
I am still blowing my eating, so I am going to use the spark menus from Monday week as well. I had forgotten about them, and now that I am living alone, it will be MUCH easier to stick to them. I am really looking forward to them because they look delicious and I am so into 'active relaxation' through cooking now, so learning new recipes and food combinations is going to be soooo helpful and enjoyable.
But for now, its time to dust and vacuum the house to some very loud music!
