ugh!

Saturday, July 28, 2012

I went bike riding and messed up my back terribly. I went 3 days ago and it's hurting worse than when I first hurt it. I have also been sick, bladder infection that I am on the second round of antibiotics for. I AM in good spirits, regardless. I know that I need to rest but I get so bored. If anyone knows how to remedy a terrible back ache, let me know!

Ibuprofen, alternate ice and heat, gentle stretches as the pain decreases. Glad you have a positive attitude.

Take ibuprofen, small dose around the clock if you don't like taking a full dose. It helps with the inflammation.

Ice it - a good ice pad for the back is to wet a bath towel, freeze it in a shape that fits your back then lie on it. Twenty minutes twice a day if possible.

If it's not too severe, some gentle (I say gentle) walking might help, as well as some GENTLE stretching.

A chiropractor might be able to help, they've helped me in the past.

Sorry your back is in pain. I've been there. Pain is not fun.

Are you able to stretch? Or visit your friendly chiropractor? Both have helped me in the past. I also love heat on it - but was told I should have used ice or alternated ice and heat. Sigh. Glad your spirits are still high. emoticon
