Woops, fell off the wagon.

Yeah. Rather, I should say that I tripped and started to topple over the side of the wagon, but caught the side and am feverishly trying to drag myself back over the side. I've been doing so great since Sunday with tracking everything I put in my mouth, which has cut down significantly on what I'm eating. I've taken my lunch 3 out of 4 days this week at work (yaay!). Yesterday, I skipped the treadmill because I had to work a 10 hour day and by the time I got home, both my kids were completely irritable and ended up staying up until close to 11pm. By then, i was exhausted - the idea of my treadmill went right out the window. This morning, I overslept because of being so tired, so no treadmill before work. I'm desperately trying to muster up the motivation to go hop on it, even if for only ten minutes! But my treadmill is on the porch, and even now after 8pm it's still about 90 degrees with the heat index. Ugh! And to top it off, I had two DELICIOUS slices of toast with Land O Lakes cinnamon sugar butter this afternoon, which has completely sparked my sweet tooth and deadened my energy levels. Luckily, I stopped with those and I'm still under my calorie intake for the day....but ack!

So, my immediate demands....

Summertime ---- GO AWAY! I need 75 degree weather to jog!

Really sweet lady at work that keeps buying me twizzlers ---- Stop before I give up and gain a new 5 pounds!

Whew....okay. I feel better. Beer:30.

    Thank you! I keep a fridge full of greek yogurt, which is my new favorite thing in the world...makes me wonder why I fought jumping on that bandwagon for so long! I love that it's just sweet enough to make me think I'm having a treat, but with it being nonfat and packed full of protein, it almost eats like a full meal for me. I was making the kiddos some cinnamon toast today and fell's like it was beckoning me. Ack!

    I spoke to the woman at work who keeps buying me the twizzlers (my candy-crack, by the way)...she seemed completely offended that I didn't want her treats, even though I was very polite and thanked her profusely for her thoughtfulness. :(

    I don't know if I could cut out carbs altogether, but I have completely cut out sweets (aside from my slip today with the darn cinnamon sugar butter). I usually ate candy every day (how I still have my teeth is beyond me). I'm an avid pop-tart eater. Fruity cereals, too. Pretty much anything with corn syrup. Except soda and coffee - no sugar in those. So, cutting out just that has resulted in what appears to be a 4lb weight loss since my first weigh-in monday. I'll weigh in this coming Monday to keep it accurate. :)

    My biggest things I'm trying to change are: No more sweets; Drink more water (where I drank none before); Take my own lunch to work; Track everything I eat.

    So far, I've hit them all pretty well! Thank you so much for your suggestions and encouragement. I love love love SP!!!

    OH I totally know what it is like to go through the sugar battles, what may help is having some sort of protein with your sugary things to stop the blood sugar overload.
    Alternatively, minimize sugars altogether and you will not end up in that cycle of eating what you don't want to eat and feeling guilty about it.

    When SUGAR Is calling for you, SAY NO and say: I am made for more than the temporary thrill of sugar!
    I gave up sugar altogether ( and carbs) and I feel so much better. Have you considered that?
    I didn't feel so bad about sugar being such a strong tug for me when I found out that sugar is more addictive than heroin!

    HOT days are hard to work out in, you have the right idea of just giving it a shot, even if only 10 minutes!
