That is right; podcasts can be a wonderful tool for support!
Quite a few are out there, many available for free, and if you plop them into an MP3 or iPod or other device, they inform as you drive! This summer I spend a minimum of 1.5 hours in my car while picking up my granddaughter, driving her to her school and then doing the return trips 2 hours later. Sometimes I listen to Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, classical music, or whatever floats my boat (car) that day. But usually, at least 30 minutes if not the entire driving time have (Dr.) Ray Hinish and (trainer extradinaire) Blythe Alberg fortifying my journey to a healthier lifestyle! And Ray also blogs. While they named their ongoing podcast series "Cut The Fat", the discussions cover a wide range of healthy lifestyle issues. cutthefatpodcast.com/
I downloaded their first podcasts a few years ago on iTunes and keep listening either while driving, waiting in the car (oh I'm such a chauffer for my grandkids!), or right here at my computer. I listen to these podcasts 'actively', really thinking about how they apply to me, to my journey, my issues, my blueprint for an improved lifestyle ... because I keep growing.
If you're not already doing this, maybe you'll consider giving it a whirl. There are tons of podcasts out there just waiting! Look for substance, balance, credibility. And grow.
