I want one sooo bad. I crave chocolate ice cream like it's my job. It's my favorite thing, and since I started reading labels (ingredients labels, peeps, not the fat/calories part) I found that Haagen Daaz uses ONLY real cream, real milk, real egg yolks, and real sugar, plus whatever the flavor is: real coffee, real vanilla beans, real cocoa, real strawberries. No soybean oil, no hydrogenated anything, no preservatives, no thickeners/stabilizers.
By the way, what the hell are stabilizers and thickeners doing in ice cream? How do you justify adding things to ice cream to make it more ice cream-y? Is it because HFCS doesn't emulsify like it should? Whatever. Give me the real deal. I'll pay a premium for it.
I just want it all the time. I don't care how many Whole30s I do or how long I eat paleo. I crave chocolate ice cream. Nothing else, really. Not cinnamon rolls, cookies, pasta, or crackers. Those are passing thoughts. Just chocolate ice cream. I purposely don't eat it except as a treat after at least 3 weeks eating strictly low-carb.
What's that? "You shouldn't reward healthy eating with unhealthy food"?
Bite me. I do what I want.
