Struggling with life today

Sunday, July 22, 2012

So, the husband is still sick....and being very typical. He needs to eat to gain strength, but whines that eating hurts his stomach. But complians that he is weak and tired. Still refuses to eat....see a pattern here? I have been a 24 hour nurse for 5 days now and frankly, I am feeling more like that woman from the stephen King novel than Florence Nightingale :)

So, we are headed out (this kids and I) for lunch, groceries and bleach bleach bleach. And I have lectured my husband on taking better care of himself. His vitamins collect dust, he doesn't drink ANY water and he only eats like three veggies total. I am annoyed with this whole cycle with him and he is going to make better choices or listen to me nag nag nag.

Now, enough whining. I need a subway sandwich and fresh air

Ugh. If you figure out the secret to dealing with a sick hubby (who incidentally won't do what it takes to get better!), please let me know! Hope he is better by now!

I can hear your struggle and it must be so difficult to take care of your husband, your self and the kids.
Like someone else suggested...you need time every day for your self. Even if it's just a quick walk.
    I'll be praying for you.

Well, I bet if you came in the room with a hammer and a thick piece of wood and put it between his feet his butt would get out of bed and eat something healthy for once!

When my ex used to do like that, I would take him food and tell him he wasn't getting anything else until he ate it all. And then I would leave him alone for a few hours. I mean, I only did this when it was over 3 days of him whining about "I'm gonna die!". After that, I can take no more.

I wish you the best of luck in getting him moving and better. Lysol the crap out of him and the room he is in!! Doorknobs, sinks, bedsheets, everything.
