Stuck in a rut

I feel I no longer lose weight cause I am stuck in some rut, do not know what or why....but exercises just seem now like work and I hardly get to them. I NEED HELP!!! How do I sort this? I think I should re-think getting back to the gym?

What do you do guys when you are in such a state? HELP Please!!! I have stopped losing the weight and I do not want to gain the lost ones back!!! :-(

    Never, Never, Never give up! I know it is really hard to get back into the groove of exercising and illimnating the foods you know keep you from losing when you indulge in them. But I know you can do it. With all the encouragement you give others, give it to yourself too. You are the most important person to you and you deserve the best you can give yourself.     I've been there. It's hard because it zaps you mentally as well as physically! I started finding moments throughout my day to get more exercise: walking/riding my bike to appointments when possible, taking the stairs, parking far away so I have to walk to the store, playing basketball with the family, etc..

    Also, eating whole foods REALLY has helped. I feel fuller longer and have more natural energy which helps me WANT to move. Putting exercise first in my day was smart as well. That way it's over with and won't get pushed aside in all of the insanity later on.

    But, the best advice I can give is to recognize the good choices you ARE making. If you swap out water for soda at a restaurant, or pick up the speed while cleaning up the house, give yourself a pat on the back! Getting wrapped up in what I'm NOT doing only gets me discouraged, which eventually leads me to lying on the couch in tears eating a bag of chips.

    Hang in there! You are stronger than you think! And God will always help you if you ask him. :)

    Getting stuck in a rut is my specialty. I have already decided that if I don't go to the gym then nothing is going to happen because I have 1000 things to do at home first. Also, there is the weather. Don't mind walking in the sun but rain or snow? Nice thing about the public gym that I go to is that it has an inside cushioned track, a swimming pool, plenty of weight machines and lots of areas to do stretching. They also have classes like Zumba but it will be awhile before I take that class. So go for the gym and change it up. See what happens.

    i understand how you are feeling and what i did was simply just start walking and enjoying my surroundings and it was pleasant and i didn't mind doing it. i am now up to 7miles a day and i look forward to going, hence the weight started moving down because first i wasn't hungry all the time and i was burning calories. this helped me , i hope it will help you. best wishes. emoticon
