Ok.. I have been going to the gym almost every night and walking/running on the treadmill. I like it because the gym has a number of them and a whole bunch of TV'S that hang from the ceiling. I go to the same 4 ones every time because they have te best 3 TV's with channels. They have ESPN, The History Channel, or The Discovery Channel on. All in a row, three of my most favorite channels are on so no matter which one I am on, I'm rockin.

So, for the past couple of days I have been getting there in time for ESPN and Baseball games. I love baseball so I have been watching those. BIG MISTAKE!!

Why? you ask.. because I cant keep my mouth shut. I walk/run with my music playing and read the captions for the commentary of the game.. watch it, and silently critique it.. or so I thought.

I guess tonight while watching the Mets vs Nationals game I "Thought" I made my comment quietly to myself but in reality I yelled at the TV, "My dead grandmother throws better than that... Da*n it... You throw like a woman!"

Yeah.... at least the guys running next to me thought it was funny and didnt get angry.. and when I turned bright red and apologized because I dont normally do that.. he said, "I have been here for the past week a number of times when you have... and you do"... then I about pee'd myself and he cracked up laughing. "It's nice to hear a woman know what she is talking about while watching Baseball though.." is what he said next and then we spent the next 30 minutes talking about the game and watching it while walking.

I had a lot of fun but I think I will take OFF the headphones the next time I am watching the game.

Keep on Truckin Everyone!!!

I would SO do this. I have done this when I would go out to eat or go have a drink at the bar. Start yelling at the TV and make a fool out of myself. My husband loves it because I know baseball quite well and love baseball and college football and hockey.. and just about any sport except professional basketball - its boring to me. So I know my stuff because at the house I have a 15 year old stats junkie and baseball die hard husband to keep up with.

That's great! Sounds like you made a gym buddy, too.

When I went to the gym in NH, I'd read my Kindle on the treadmill and made the mistake of reading "A Dog's Purpose" in public. It's a tearjerker. Need I say more?

Your grandma. I taught both my sons to play baseball because their fathers couldn't even catch! One son was good enough to play first and short stop and be called The Slugger. (Of course, I was the daughter of a minor league ump.) emoticon

LOL! I love watching baseball and football. It adds to the adrenaline level as well. Shouting at the TV is part of the fun. And why is that men can't believe a woman can know her sports.

My gym doesn't have TVs by the treadmills, so I listen to audiobooks. People think I am weird because I will burst out laughing at odd moments. Oh well. we have to enjoy our exercise anyway we can. Keep on truckin'
