Walking resources

Tuesday, July 17, 2012

I just discovered that Sparkpeople has a walking guide and walking spark teams. My primary exercise is walking. I haven’t had time yet to peruse it; I bookmarked it to read later today.

I’m excited to jump in and learn more. If any of you are walkers, is there any type of tool or guide that you use? Pedometer? Or a specific plan of action?

I use the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs a lot. They're especially good on rainy or snowy days. :)

Thanks for reminding me that SP has this resource.
I just started use an old Weight Watchers pedometer. I am looking for an Omron pedometer though. It seems to be a popular choice from my research. I also have an app on my phone that helps me track the miles (or part of) that I walk. It has a map so I don;t have to go the same route all the time.
    Good luck!
