Spring (into action) cleaning!

Been talking about clutter-busting, but am now in the midst of doing it with great gusto. An accidental spill in my fridge (from the top shelf) spurred me on. While taking things out to mop up the mess, I found a container of Italian bread crumbs that had a use-by date of 2010, plus a few other things that didn't have a recognizable date!

Dumped several products and plan to get rid of junk upstairs in a bit - taking a catch-my-breath break now!

I'm playing a serious game of "let's pretend" - here's how it goes: Let's pretend we are moving to a two-bedroom apartment that is half the size of our current house...
Let's pretend my husband and I have passed away and our children are saddled with the responsibility of disposing of our "assets" - why not save them some of the angst?

Let's pretend I have trouble finding needed items among my glut of possessions and paperwork ...WAIT...that isn't pretend!!! Time for the old heave-ho!
Want to join me? With less stress from having less clutter, perhaps we'd have time to focus more on our healthy lifestyle efforts!

I am definitely going to try the Let's Pretend game with my husband! He hates to throw things away and I hate to throw paperwork away! We need to declutter!

Love the "let's pretend" idea. Will definitely use that to get myself motivated when I get back from vacation. Got a start a year ago & then lost motivation. Thanks for the great suggestion emoticon

I wish, I like your idea, and like you said, some of your Let's Pretend ideas are not pretend at all. Like over a year ago when I was so depressed, I realized that if I wasn't here, my dd's wouldn't know how to access my bank/pension/insurance polices and I have been working on that for over a year, next have to move on like you are... emoticon emoticon
