The End?! or Just the beginning???!!!!....
........

Sunday, July 15, 2012

Hey....when I started this round, i figured that it was going to be the easiest! After all, I was now in the maintenance program. Even given a fancy name DOM! What a bunch of doo doo that turned out to be. This was one of the toughest, if not THE TOUGHEST round I have done. Why?
Because once you get to your goal, it is soooooo easy to come up with excuses NOT to go to the gym, NOT to park farther away from the store, NOT to do that cardio. It is so easy to eat just a small piece of cake, smalll chunk of candy, eat just a couple chips (Like who can do that??!!), and to say YES to fast food!
The HARD part is realizin this is a LIFE Change and not just a BLC change or ROUND change. Once you reach that GOAL Weight, youu MUST remember how you got there and how has it affected your life. It aint easy. Take it from the newbie DOM. Took a couple of A** kicking from the Good Cop-Bad Cop team we call AdMin.
My plans for the summer?! Keep in touch with the Team. Most everyone signed up to continue on our thread. Will weigh in AT LEAST once a week, but especially on Weds. Keep lots of chicken, turkey, and pork and fish in the freezer and stay away from the FasstFood Joints ( Be at the ARCHES for WiFi and a diet coke while posting! LOL)
Looking for a place that grills not fries, also not being afraid to ask for a NUTRITION sheet for a meal and not being afraid to substitute a salad or veggie for those fries. Asking about FRESH fruits and veggies now that the growing season is in full bloom out this way.
Ya....the change has to be a life style...can it happen in one round?...NO! It is a continual learning and practicing. The Rev said this mornking it takes 300 rounds of repitition to learn a good habit AND 5000 rounds of repitition to BREAK a bad habit. Interesting, I thought.
So yes, I will continue into Round 20! And yes, I will kep in contact this summer (even at Camp!) and yes, I will avoid the cookouts and make the best and healthiest choicews that I have been taught. And yes, Iwill fall BUT I will pick myself up and hit it again tomorrow. And yes, BLC does work. BUT it takes (here we go ladies!) PARTICIPATION! No one can do it for you! You can come up with the excuses, but only YOU can assure a success story. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Great to hear from you. Remember it is all in the mind. If you believe you can, you will. I trust you will keep your DOM status.

Moderation is the key! Instead of avoiding the cookouts, can you adapt the cookouts? I grilled salmon and asparagus on my grill the other night- yum. Glad you will be keeping track over the break. You can get McDonald's wifi from the parking lot. emoticon instead of inside with all the temptations! Keep on working to find the "sweet spot" in maintaining. emoticon

Well Mr. DOM, I'm glad you realize you weren't ready to do this on your own just yet (me either). I'm still trying to find my balance while in maintenance, we don't have to be as strict as when we were actively trying to lose weight but we have to be extra cautious not to fall back into our old habits.

We *will* get it figured out and continue to lead healthy lives. Remember I'm always around anytime you need me. I plan on taking a true break from BLC for the summer but I'm always available by email.
