Week 9 on SP

Sunday, July 15, 2012

Hello, Fellow Sparkies,

Oh dear, it's been a while since I've posted on my blog. Hope everyone is surviving the heat & managing to enjoy the Summer. It's been quite a roller coaster ride diet & exercise wise for me these last few weeks. Despite all of that, I have logged on to SP everyday. At least I'm staying consistent & making slow & steady progress. I'm not where I thought I be by now, but I refuse to give up.

I'm already on week 9 on my C25K training & I'm able to run longer & farther than the previous weeks & I do feel excited! However, some days, I feel like I'm stuck on week 1 & not making any progress. I am going insane? Most of these last few weeks I have felt that way. :( The heat wave hasn't helped matters, either. I am a bit daunted that my first 5K is 69 days away...will I be able to meet my finish time? UGH!!! Also signed up for the SP 1 mile virtual race in a few weeks...Chin up, I guess. Positive mental attitude & my dear Spark friends should help. Reading "The Spark" has kept my "spark" from burning out, too. "Just keep swimming" (from Finding Nemo) is what my daughter likes to tell me.

Short installment today. Lots to do. As always, thank you for the adds, likes & comments. Hope everyone has a great week. Stay cool & Spark on~

Consistency is the key! You are making progress by sticking with it. Progress is never a race.

"Those little things that will make you successful in life. that will secure your health, your happiness, your fulfillment, your dreams, are simple, subtle, tiny things that nobody will see, nobody will applaud, nobody will even notice. They are those things that at the time you do them, often feel like they make absolutely no difference... like they don't matter. ... THEY DO."

    A passage from the book
    "The Slight Edge"

    Keep sparking! -- Jeff
