Eight-week summer break plan

Although I have reached my goal, maintenance is almost more difficult than losing was. When I was losing I knew my calorie range. I knew what exercises (cardio and ST) to do. After 12 weeks on maintenance, I still haven’t found a comfortable range. Hot temperatures coupled with asthma is not a good mix and my running has suffered the past month. So here’s my plan to still be at goal when BLC 20 starts in the fall:

Nutrition—Keep experimenting with calorie range and tracking (at least 3-4 days a week) to find a range that works for me. The Spark recommended one needs some tweaking. Eat 4-5 freggies a day and drink plenty of water. This may be difficult as we are planning a trip to MI the beginning of September and the parents and DH like to eat out. My plan there is to do the cooking most days and watch my portion size, no alcohol or carby-snacks before dinner.

Fitness—Go back to doing ST at least 3 times a week. Cardio 20-25 minutes 5-6 times a week. I am trying out the PACE program during these 8 weeks to see if shorter, more intense workouts work better for me than long duration workouts. I would like to keep up with the running, weather (and asthma) permitting.

Accountability—Participating in SAC, posting and weekly weigh-ins. Also, posting on the Spy thread to stay in touch with teammates.
Goals—Maintain my weight at my goal of 140 +- 3% That gives me a range of 135.8 to 144.2. I would like to be on the lower end of that range by the beginning of BLC 20. Also, I’m working toward losing body fat…..goal for this not set yet.
