Week 3-WUB

Well I have stayed very motivated still with the BLC #15 but I find myself not putting in the effort I need to.....One of my set backs is weekend eating-it's not an excuse but I only see my friends on weekends and I have to figure out how to not eat places with them because that is really what is separating me from continuing to lose weight...We always go somewhere to eat and I try to get a salad but even then I know it's not as healthy as home food. I don't know why but I almost feel stupid telling my friends (who are mostly males) that I am on a serious lifestyle change where I can't go eat crazy meals. I love being social so this is something I really need to focus on working on-maybe just go get a drink with them instead of food because that messes up my good eating Mon-thurs. This week I want to work on that!

Some other goals for myself this week:

~30 Minutes of workout each day- NO EXCUSES, I have been slacking on the workouts

~Write down and follow the Food journal that was presented to us this week and rate how hungry I was and how I was feeling. (this may be a serious eye opener for me) then start tracking!

~More water! I have been downing water but not enough!

~Reach out more to my fellow Dune Riders

~Stop procrastinating my grad homework

~Write in a journal at least once about how I think my week is going

~ Find new workout clothes!

That's all I can think of for this week :)

    social eating can be rough.. I read a study that said we tend to overeat when we are around others who are eating large portions... it's a social thing. Stay strong! I'm sure you can achieve these goals. emoticon

    Those are some really good goals for this week.

    A suggestion on the food - what if you order what you want and only have half, take the otehr half home for tomorrow? Before you go out eat some fruits or veggies so you feel already partly full before you leave so you won't eat the whole thing?

    Jennie you gotta put it out there I know the fear of telling folks you are making changes, but it helps you be more accountable. Just my opinion, but I would encourage you to tell your friends, so that they get why you can no longer go crazy at eateries as you put it in your blog. You have some great goals for this upcoming week and I am looking forward to hearing about how you do. Keep it moving forward.

    I can totally agree with the slacking on weekends!! I eat healthy M~F but on my "cheat" days i eat too much and don't always see any progress!! What i have been trying is to order what i want but only eat half or have box bought out with my meal to put half away. Good luck with this weeks challenges BLC#15 emoticon
