THE LAST LEG OF OUR TRIP!!

Tomorrow we start our way back down to Weslaco, TX (home) - - we are ready and so are the puppies!!! It's been a long, hard trip for us visiting two loved ones with Alzheimers in two different states and a brother-in-law who is also in very bad health.
It hasn't been all hard and frustrating though. We have been able to see many of our friends and attend our home church for the first time in 2 years. It's hard saying goodbye to loved ones but we will see some of the same people in ND again next year. Next year will be a medical run for my husband to ND (every other year for that).
Staying on the Plan has been difficult BUT I always had a good healthy breakfast on PLAN!! I had made a promise to myself that no matter what I ate each day that I would keep track of whatever it was - good or bad!!! I have kept my promise even on this trip Lots of meals out and even home-made meals. I will be glad when we return home and then staying on Plan will be so much easier.
I did, however, manage to gain many more steps and miles on walks. When I started my Plan, I was lucky if I would manage to get in 400-500 steps in a day. So far, I have gone over my "steps" once or twice and several others close to my goal. I'm proud of myself. It will be much hotter and more humid back home, but I'm going to be digging out my "stepper" from the shed and start that up. I've boughten myself another hula hoop while on my trip so will also be including that in my exercise routine daily - even if it's only for 5 minutes a day! I even bought myself a new pedometer on this trip seeing as how I lost my other one while walking the dogs in the park going up and down the hills etc. I even made an extra trip around the park and hills looking for the pedometer before giving up on finding it!
Will finish up my Trip Blog when I get home and include any weight loss plus inches - - I had to get some smaller shorts while on this trip!!!
