It is so difficult to achieve goals when you work 14 hours in a stressful job. One of the biggest challenges is drinking water, since we are prohibited from keeping drinks at our desk. By the time I get home my feet hurt, my brain is drained and the last thing I want to do is cook or exercise. It would be so easy to plop on the couch and grab a quick carryout meal on the way home.
BUT, I am committed and determined to make this work for me. I want more that a temporary weight loss (done the yo-yo bit) I want a life style change that will be permanent. SO... I broil a chicken breast, eat raw broccoli and take the dog for a long walk and tell myself, "YOU GO GIRL!" LOL emoticon

    I thought about one of those hats that have the cans and tube for drinking, not a great look though!

    Sorry that your job is currently stressful. With your hours, do have additional days off during the week? If so, maybe you could use that time for batch cooking. Divide up the food into smaller portions for later in the week.
