Making Healthy Choices.

We went out to eat tonight. Usually this derails me completely, and it was Red Lobster. Luckily, I detoured my husband from Golden Corral - there aren't many healthy options (besides salad) there at all.

I opted for the "Create Your Own Feast," and chose the wood fire-grilled salmon and snow crab legs, steamed broccoli, and a garden salad with light red wine vinaigrette. I did have a small glass of wine, but I chose the lower-sugar chardonnay instead of my go-to moscato.

I really enjoyed my dinner. I ended the meal without eating any of those damn "Cheddar Bay Biscuits" that are horrendously bad for you. and without tasting the butter-and-cream sauce my husband tried to force upon me. I drank two big glasses of water, too.

All in all, I had a good time and didn't blow my diet! Calories consumed today after this Red Lobster feast? 1, 239. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself!
