Health Update!

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

Hey everyone, first of all, I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who commented on my last blog. I actually felt bad about posting it and embarrassed about telling people what I was doing, but I am so incredibly glad that I did! It means a lot to know that I am not alone, you guys are all so awesome!!

Secondly, I went to my urologist today. It was difficult and embarrassing, particularly since I started crying mid appointment, but my urologist is one of the best doctors ever and a really nice man. He was encouraging and helped me to see that I have options and hope. Our first step was a bit of a bomb on the head, I expected to have surgery again sometime in the fall, well, I am having it next week! So I had to run in and get things set up with work (I will be out for two weeks) and I have to call for my pre-op appointment today. Goodness, nothing quite like hitting the ground running.

My doc is also changing up my meds, to see if that will help. On top of all of this, I am going to start saving money, because if these things do not "fix" the problem then we are going to move on to a more invasive surgery. I am open to whatever the Lord has in store, it just feels so overwhelmingly wonderful to know that I still have options.

For now I just pray and keep moving.
