I feel like I've been out of the loop lately - we've been so busy at home that I sometimes don't even get to the computer to log my food over the weekend. And I know I will probably not have access to a computer while on my vacation - emoticon this will be my first true test.

Daughter #2 and I

are leaving tomorrow for a road trip to Colorado to see a dear friend of mine. We planned this little adventure to get away and I don't think we gave much thought to how many miles we're actually going to travel. Denver, CO is a long way from St Louis. If I am honest, I'm a little overwhelmed at the number of miles we'll be driving. emoticon

We do love to drive and with her, there's never a shortage of things to discuss. And though the destination is important, the focus of the trip will be the time she and I get to spend together - alone - in a car - on an endless stretch of highway -

We'll be away from home for five days, five days where I'm on my own and have to make food choices from who knows where...but D2 is my biggest supporter. She and I have already planned our snacks and what we'll be putting in the cooler.

I know it will be a great adventure. I plan to take lots of photos and maybe find a good way to get that 30# photo I've been promising to put up on my page emoticon
