Day 3: Home all day and it helped

Tuesday, July 10, 2012

Well, I think it's working! I was home all day with the kids yesterday. We even managed to have some friends come over for a playdate. Now this was not the original plan, of course. I wanted to walk around with the kids in the morning and then go to the bookstore to read where we would possible meet the friends and then come back here for lunch or a pladate or both. But my 8 year old threw a fit that lasted an hour and I only had time to take a shower with no exercise again.

We had a great time chatting and they all played. The mom and I had yogurt, cheese and crackers with fresh tomato slices and water to drink. I made 3 cheese (1/3 less fat cream cheese, 2% mozz. and 2% cheddar....YUM) grilled cheese for the kids on multi grain sandwich thins with grapes and apple juice. For dinner my husband and I had Kimchi Shin Ramen with carrots, zuccini, onions, egg and crab meat. It was sooooo good. I had some hot tea with fiber powder and some peanut butter crackers for an evening snack. I only went over my numbers by 1!!!! That was on my carbs.

It will be interesting to see what today brings. We pretty much cleaned out the fridge last night and we still have a few days before our trip. I guess some veggie patties, YUM! Seriously, I love those things. Morning Star, only, spicy black bean, or Asian, or regular. Maybe a morning link with eggs on a bagel thin. Yes, that may be it.

Thanks for listening,
