I don't like my trainer.

Well, maybe I just don't like lower body strength training. Squats, squats and more squats! ARGH I really hate squats! Squats with dumbbells, Squats with kettlebells, squats with barbells, squats with medicine balls, and just plain old squats. LOL - I feel like I'm walking with a ball between my legs today. It's pretty bizarre.

In the end, I know I will thank my trainer and hug him with my brand new strong arms. But today I don't like him. Not one bit.

On upper body training days, I like him a lot. emoticon

    I LOVE squats now that I do them properly. For years, I did them wrong and my knees always made this awful clicking noise. Not good, right? A few months ago, my trainer showed me how to hold proper form and I'm a squat fanatic. Well, maybe not fanatic, but I like 'em. I'm glad your trainer is very careful with your lower body exercises and watches you closely. Sounds like you have a great trainer!! yippee!!

    Lunges gave me my bum knee almost 20 ago. A skiing accident started the damage but the lung completed it. Then I reinjured it when I fell down the stairs 3 years ago. My leg stayed behind while my body slid down the stairs. That was lovely. So when I do lunges or squats my trainer has to spot me, just in case my knee gives out. He's never far away, so he feels comfortable pushing my envelope. If he sees me starting to shake or fall out of form he grabs my arms or my waist and pulls me out of dangert. He's trying to strengthen my knee, so it's all good, but I still hate them.

    For some reason I like squats, but I hate lunges! As in, HATE them! I'll bet you'll hate them less in a few weeks, though. Just keep up the great work!! Any cardio plans for today (or later this week?)

    I don't like squats either. Maybe if you talk to him he'll find something other than a squat like a lunge.
